“I am the gracious Goddess, who gives the gift of joy unto the heart of man. Upon earth, I give the knowledge of the spirit eternal; and beyond death, I give peace, and freedom, and reunion with those who have gone before. Nor do I demand sacrifice; for behold, I am the Mother of all living, and my love is poured out upon the earth.”
About
Creation’s Grimoire Church of Wicca was established in 2016 and is located in Bentonville, Arkansas. We are a part of the Benton County Interfaith Alliance and we practice in the WISE tradition.
A lot of pagans believe in a source of creation energy in which we are all connected. It is Chi, it is Ki, it is something to love and embrace. This energy lives in everything, you, me, the trees, the sky, the ground we walk on. We access this energy through meditation, connecting our roots to the source and speaking to the consciousness as a unified whole. This universal consciousness does have a voice and holds the knowledge of the past and present. This energy always has been there and always will be there for years after this life cycle ends.
Growing up in a Jewish and Southern Baptist family, this is what I was taught as the bare core of what “God” was. However, In the Wiccan faith, we see “God” in all aspects of life, the balance between the divine feminine and divine masculine. Including those aspects within ourselves and those around us. We believe it is important to not only seek forgiveness in others for their mistakes but forgiveness in ourselves as well through accountability, as we are grateful for each lesson in life gifted to us by the goddess from which we must learn and grow to see her mysteries. Magicks and the powers of creation flow through the universal energies around us, this is also a gift from the god and goddess and must be treated with love, respect, and in tune with the laws of Wicca.
In our beliefs, death is not something to be feared. In fact, we know it is inevitable and not eternal damnation. Death and reincarnation is a peaceful process that should be celebrated as a vital part of soul growth and treated as a sacred crossing. Death also comes in many forms rather than just physical, the most common form of death is leaving behind what no longer serves our greater good and allowing a new door to open.
A lot of our worship is in respect to Mother Earth for she nourishes us, houses us, and loves us as we are her children.
“I who am the beauty of the green earth, and the white Moon among the stars, and the mystery of the waters, and the desire of the heart of man, call unto thy soul. Arise, and come unto me. For I am the soul of nature, who gives life to the universe. From me all things proceed, and unto me all things must return; and before my face, beloved of Gods and of men, let thine innermost divine self be enfolded in the rapture of the infinite. Let my worship be within the heart that rejoiceth; for behold, all acts of love and pleasure are my rituals. And therefore let there be beauty and strength, power and compassion, honour and humility, mirth and reverence within you.”
